All competitors must pre-purchase an entry Ticket. This ticket forms part of their registration for Solos, duos/trios & Troupe events. This one of fee includes entry into solos, duos/trios & Troupes.

All tickets (competitor and spectator) will be available through Try Booking - https://www.trybooking.com/CONJS

Entries open in February and close Friday 15 March 2024. Competitor tickets purchased after this date will incur a late fee.

Spectator early bird tickets will be on sale from Tuesday 2 April at 9am once programming is finalised.

2024 Judges

Judge One

SEAN BYRNES has trained in many genres of dance since the age of 6, having studied extensively on the Central Coast and in the US. Sean performed 80 dates on three international tours with the ‘Michael Jackson Legacy’ production. This official tribute show from the US was choreographed by MJ’s long-time choreographer and featured a live band of Michael’s original musicians. 

Sean’s further credits include performing with Jimmy Barnes at Sydney’s ICC Convention Centre, choreographing and performing in a series of Foxtel TV commercials, choreographing multiple year-long residencies at Sydney’s Oxford Hotel, and performing in a dance film for the NASA Space Program. 

Attaining his Cert 4 in Training and Assessment, Sean teaches at several leading grammar schools and studios. He is Urban Unit Manager and commercial dance trainer at NAISDA – Australia’s premier Indigenous training college, with several of his students currently in Bangarra. For the past 3 years Sean has served as rehearsal director and co-choreographer for all of NAISDA’s performance seasons, including last year’s remount of ‘ATI’ at Carriageworks. 
 

Judge Two

MADDIE OWEN has trained and performed in all styles of dance under the guidance of the industry’s top professionals. She completed Cert IV in Dance at Ettingshausens PRO Fulltime, Dream Show Business 2020 – under the mentorship of Marko Panzic & Katie Sanchez and Align 2023 under the instruction of the incomparable Sophie Hollaway.
As a Professional Dancer in Film & Television, Maddie appeared in “Eurovision 2022”, “Cruising On My Own” – Lisa Veronica music video, Australian Idol Grand Final & will soon appear in the feature film “The Deb” Directed by Rebel Wilson. Other recent performances include working with Kelley Abbey “Blackbird - Light the Way Convention”, TikTok Awards 2023, Opening + Peach PRC, FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony “Tones & I”, Qantas Gala & Virgin Australia Pride Flight Landing Party.
As a Dance teacher & adjudicator Maddie loves to pass on her knowledge to students & has worked with The Dream Creative & The Arts Unit (Dept. Ed. NSW).

Judge Three

JOEL PEISLEY is a dancer, choreographer and dance educator with a career spanning 25 years. He has worked extensively across television, corporate events, tours and award shows with a range of artists including Rhonda Burchmore, Chris Isaak, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, INXS, Human Nature and many acts from The Voice, Idol, and X Factor. Major brands Joel has worked with include So You Think You Can Dance, Disney, the Olympics, NRL, Myer, MTV and BMW. 

Recent credits include MC of Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration for Warner Bros, movement coaching for RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, exam syllabus updates for Ballet Australasia, teaching Fulltime diploma students at Dargie Entertainment, and appearing in campaigns for Vegemite, VS for Men, My Muscle Chef, and Ella Baché.

Joel also teaches at a long list of private & performing arts high schools, with many of his long-term students working worldwide. For over a decade, Joel has been a critic and columnist for Dancetrain magazine. As a judge, he travels Australia and New Zealand adjudicating. Internationally, Joel has served on the voting academy for the American Choreography Awards – evaluating work from the world’s leading choreographers.
