TICKETING INFORMATION

All competitors must pre-purchase an entry Ticket. This ticket forms part of their registration for Solos, duos/trios & Troupe events. This one of fee includes entry into solos, duos/trios & Troupes.

All tickets (competitor and spectator) will be available through Try Booking -

Entries open in February and close Monday 10 March 2025. Competitor tickets purchased after this date will incur a late fee.

Spectator early bird tickets will be on sale from Tues 1st April at 9am once programming is finalised.

2025 Judges

Angelina Thomson

Angelina is currently starring in, and is best known, for her role as Kirby Aramoana on Home and Away.

She recently played the renowned role of Miss Adelaide in Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour’s Guys and Dolls. Prior to this, she starred in the iconic role of Anita in West Side Story for GWB Entertainment and Opera Australia. Her other theatre credits include A Chorus Line for Darlinghurst Theatre, Rent at the Sydney Opera House, Consuelo in Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour’s West Side Story, Megan Jones in PUFFS, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical for Michael Cassel Company and for The Production Company, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Ragtime. In 2020 her one-woman cabaret, Hinano, was staged at Darlinghurst Theatre Company as part of their Bloom Festival. Her other television credits include ABC TV Drama, Wakefield. Angelina graduated with a Bachelor of Musical Theatre from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University in 2016. 

She is passionate about inspiring the next generation of performers and is thrilled to be a part of Moondance this year.

Joel Peisley

Joel is a dancer, choreographer and educator with a career spanning 25 years. He has worked extensively across television, corporate events, tours and award shows with a range of artists including Rhonda Burchmore, Chris Isaak, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, INXS, Human Nature and many acts from The Voice, Idol, and X Factor. Major brands Joel has worked with include So You Think You Can Dance, Disney, the Olympics, NRL, Myer, MTV and BMW. 

Recent credits include host of Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration for Warner Bros, dance captain for MJ Legacy tour, movement coaching for RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, exam syllabus updates for Ballet Australasia, teaching full-time diploma students at Dargie Entertainment, and appearing in campaigns for Sony, Vegemite, VS For Men, My Muscle Chef, Ella Baché, Ultimate Ears and Stoli Vodka. This past January, Joel travelled to India where he choreographed and danced alongside Sony Music girl group, W.i.S.H. 

Joel teaches at a long list of private colleges & performing arts high schools, with many of his long-term students working worldwide. For over a decade, Joel has been a critic and columnist for Dancetrain magazine. As a judge, he travels Australia and New Zealand adjudicating. Internationally, Joel has served on the voting academy for the American Choreography Awards – evaluating work from the world’s leading choreographers.

Lachlan Dearing

Lachlan began his professional journey with the beloved children's entertainment group Hi-5, touring both nationally and internationally.

His theatre credits include standout performances in productions such as Guys and Dolls and the global phenomenon Hamilton: The Musical, where he played Samuel Seabury on the Australia and New Zealand Tour, the International Tour, and in the return Sydney season (2024–25).

Lachlan made his musical theatre debut in 2019 with Saturday Night Fever and captivated audiences as Jack in Bonnie Lythgoe’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk. He went on to play Mike in A Chorus Line in both 2020 and 2022.

A well-rounded artist, Lachlan has trained in all aspects of the performing arts since the age of 4. His early achievements include winning Young Talent Time with a boys' crew at age 14 and becoming a finalist on Australia’s Got Talent at 16.

Lachlan has worked extensively in television—appearing in guest roles, commercials, and as a commercial dancer on shows such as The Voice and Australia’s Got Talent.

He is also a dedicated dance teacher and adjudicator, having shared his expertise across Australia and New Zealand. He is thrilled to be joining the Moondance team and looks forward to inspiring the next generation of performers!
